Voices for Justice

2020 Voices for Justice
Wednesday, September 23, 2020

The 6th Annual Voices for Justice is the National Crime Victim Law Institute's annual fundraiser, which celebrates survivors of crime and the people who fight for their rights - from attorneys and advocates to volunteers and community partners. Write the next chapter with us as we celebrate 20 years of protecting, enforcing and advancing victims' rights and imagine what we can accomplish for crime victim litigation this year and beyond!

COVID-19 has challenged all who work in the victims' rights field. We will not let it keep us from coming together at a time when victims need justice upheld. Watch the event live here.

Date: Wednesday, September 23, 2020

Time: Pre-Show at 3:40 pm; Live event starts at 4:00 - 5:00pm (Pacific)

Location: Virtual, Online

Celebrate our Community!

Thank you to everyone who nominated someone who has made a difference in our victims' rights community. In honor of NCVLI's 20th year as an organization, we will be holding a moment of dedication during our Voices for Justice event in September in honor of the collective work of these individuals, past and present, who have contributed to securing meaningful rights for victims.

The 6th Annual Voices for Justice is the National Crime Victim Law Institute's annual fundraiser, which celebrates survivors of crime and the people who fight for their rights - from attorneys and advocates to volunteers and community partners. Write the next chapter of rights with us and be inspired as we look back on 20 years of advocacy for victims and as we imagine what we can accomplish for crime victim litigation in 2020 and beyond.

Voices for Justice highlights successes in advancing victims’ rights, featuring  Emmy Award-winning Reporter Anna Canzano who will be joining us once again as Emcee for the evening. The event will feature a historical look at what has happened in NCVLI's 20 years of advocacy for victims, a celebration of our victims' rights community, a Silent Auction, and a Moment of Giving.

Our Keynote Speaker this year will be Reema Zaman, an award-winning speaker, actress, and author of the critically acclaimed memoir I AM YOURSI Am Yours has been adopted into the curriculum of several high schools through an Innovation Grant from the Oregon Department of Education, and is being adapted into a movie. The New York Times states that “Zaman writes beautifully of the pain and frustration of being a woman in a man’s world, an immigrant in a world suspicious of outsiders.”  Learn more about Reema here.
